Jesus at the centre of everything we do. Have you ever wondered why Jesus is so important?

the person

Many people do not know that Jesus Christ was a real person in history, and that there is so much good evidence about what his life was like.  He was born in a small village in Israel about 2000 years ago. Until his thirties he lived a quiet life, after which he began his public ministry. For the next three years of his life he preached about the Kingdom of God and did many miracles and wonders which are written about in the Bible and in other historical sources.  It was those words and deeds with which he proved himself to be God in human form.

the mission

Jesus was born for a specific purpose:  to proclaim God, to bring God's Kingdom and to fulfill God's plan for saving mankind.  This he did through a life of obedience to his God and Father, by his death on the cross, and his victory over death in resurrection. Therefore, Jesus is the saviour of everybody who entrusts their life to him.

the message

This is the good news for our everyone: Jesus took God's judgment for sin in our place, and restored the relationship between God and man. He washed away our guilt and shame, opened the way to eternal life and gave his Holy Spirit to enable us to live for him.  This is the message that his church worldwide has proclaimed through every generation and we continue to proclaim today.
